“Premium not only provided all engineered drawings and construction materials exactly on the promised schedule but were continually available to me and my carpenter for technical assistance (as were their engineers). Premium even specially trucked (at their expense) a couple of missing and replacement pieces to me so that those pieces wouldn’t cause any labor standby time. The “kit” pieces all fit together as they should so that my carpenter had no trouble whatsoever in framing it properly and quickly even though he had not worked with your system before.
The Premium kit had no trouble whatsoever in complying with the IRC Building Code and even the coastal hurricane regulations required by St. Mary’s County. My beach house sits in FEMA’s “Flood Zone A” so it also had to be in compliance with the FEMA flood regulations. At one point during construction I had the 33 panels stacked neatly under the willow oak tree in front of the site. Tropical Storm Ernesto chose that exact moment to make landfall. The tidal surge was eight feet over the top of the docks and the entire area had to be evacuated. The next morning when the evacuation order was lifted and the roads re-opened my son and I raced down to the site not knowing what to expect. Our wall panels, each basically a large Styrofoam raft, had floated all over the nearby forest and marsh but none had been swept away to sea. We recovered all of them and they were all undamaged. I guess you can’t test the material much harder than that.
On the basis of my experience thus far I can wholeheartedly recommend the Premium product. My carpenter is looking forward to building another one should the opportunity arise. Even the county building department was so impressed that they mention the option to others looking to build in the county.

"Premium Steel provided a turn-key solution for my project with their 5 1/2 inch thick steel insulated panel walls with steel floor and roof trusses. They made it happen using my set of architectural plans. It is a pleasure working with them. They respond promptly and have the experience and expertise to get the job done. In the end, I saved time and money and have an energy efficient, superior quality structure.

“After meeting with Danny at MetalCon in Tampa, my wife and I decided to build two Premium Steel homes on our airport property south of Daytona Beach.
The first one (the guest cottage) arrived on a truck to more than a little skepticism from the local construction "talent". I put up the walls by myself in two Saturdays (I'm a book publisher, not a builder), and hired two young men to work with me to complete the house.
Their initial impression quickly changed to amazement. The strength, solidity and rigidity of the structure was beyond belief. Even the building inspector became a convert. His wife complained to my wife that "all he talks about is your darn house!"
We're not quite done, but we are close. The house is quiet, cool and solid, and we are very, very pleased.
I also called for the first quotes on homeowner's insurance, which as you know is a major problem in coastal Florida, it is very expensive and very hard to get. I went with a company where I could talk to the underwriter, and show pictures of the building in progress. The quote I got was all of $500 a year for the same coverage which is now costing me three times that on my current residence.
His comment was "It won't burn, it won't rot, and nothing eats steel.
With a 140 mph wind rating, it isn't going to blow away, either. Wish we could find more like this to insure!" Which is exactly what I've been saying all along. Wood is for furniture. Steel is for homes.
